FAQ – Bronze Canyon

➡️ Where does the Bronze Canyon fit in the Yaute Canyon progression?

The Bronze is a sporty canyon at a similar level to Balme and Nyon, but its real strength is its modularity. Accessible from age 10, it offers a varied mix of obstacles — natural slides, abseils, and jumps up to 7 metres — that each participant can tackle at their own pace. The guide adapts the progression to the group: the same route can deliver a solid family adventure or a full-throttle descent depending on who's there.

➡️ What does the Bronze Canyon actually feel like?

It's a canyon of contrasts: slow aquatic sections where water has carved clear pools in the rock, followed by vertical drops with optional jumps of up to 7 metres. The mix of mineral gorges, fast natural slides and vertical waterfalls makes it the most varied of the three sporty canyons in the Yaute catalogue.

➡️ Are the 7-metre jumps compulsory?

No — no jump is ever compulsory at Yaute Canyon. 7 metres is the maximum height available for those who want to push themselves. The guide always offers an alternative way around every obstacle. You choose your own level of adrenaline.

➡️ Where is the Bronze Canyon and how do I get there?

The Bronze Canyon is located in the Arve valley, at the foot of the Aravis massif, in the commune of Bonneville. The meeting point is at the Thuet waterfall — look for the black Kia Ceed with a white trailer. Allow under 30 minutes from Cluses or Sallanches, and under an hour from Annecy or Geneva. It's the most accessible Yaute canyon from the Annecy area.

➡️ When is the Bronze Canyon season?

April to October — the same window as the Balme Canyon. Unlike the Nyon Canyon which only opens in June, the Bronze is accessible from spring, making it a great option for early or late-season stays.

➡️ What is the price for the Bronze Canyon?

€60 per adult, €55 for children under 14, all equipment included. Meeting times are 9:00 am or 1:00 pm, to be confirmed with the guide.
